About RMI

It is the mission of Rejoice Minstries International that every believer would “be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”.

Colossians 2:2-3

History of Rejoice Ministries International

While worshipping on a Sunday morning in the Spring of 1995, Dick Dungan heard the Lord speak to his heart these words, you are Rejoice Ministries, a ministry of encouragement. A few months later the Lord showed him clearly that Colossians 2:2,3 was the purpose for the rest of his life. Thus, Rejoice Ministries International was born.

The ministry of RMI was originally focused on serving the local church through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God and challenging men to become spiritual leaders. However, that quickly changed when Dick was invited to several other countries to bring teaching and encouragement. From then on, RMI has been involved in all three-dimensions of the Body of Christ.

Trans-locally, several Pastors invited Dick to come and encourage and minister to their congregations. For several of these Pastors, Dick became a mentor and encourager to them which has led to long-term relationships and ministry with churches across the USA. He especially ministered to Men on topics of character such as purity of heart, biblical manhood, and overcoming passivity. This led to developing a ministry for fathers and sons and the importance of receiving and walking in the Father’s blessing.

As the trans-local ministry grew several men and women in their home church asked he and Mary to come alongside them as mentors. This has led them to create a mentoring ministry in which they have become more intentionally trans-generational in their ministry. RMI has been involved in creating many retreat opportunities that encourage and equip young couples and families in realizing the possibility of having a real Christian home.

Internationally, RMI began partnering with a ministry that networks and mobilizes missionaries for China and SE Asia. After a few short years he began focusing on offering pastoral care to those he and others had mobilized. They needed care so that they would survive the pressure and struggles of life in difficult areas of the world. This began the international pastoral care ministry of RMI.

Throughout the ministry of Dick and Mary significant relationships began to be deeply established. Within these relationships it became clear that others had the same heart and passion of Dick and Mary. This would begin a new transition and expansion of RMI. Currently, RMI consists of a team of 10 associates who have the same heart and vision as its founders and are ministering together in all three dimensions of the Body of Christ.

Today, Dick and Mary continue to encourage many in the Body of Christ. They have a heart to invest in the next generations of Kingdom leaders. RMI is no longer a mom and pop ministry. With an engaged Board of Directors and a team of mature associates RMI has a significant future. Rejoice Ministries International is an expanding ministry that holds to the core values of its founders; to encourage, equip and lead believers into a full relationship with Jesus Christ, a revelation of the Father’s heart and to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit. Dick and Mary are ministers of Fellowship of Connected Churches & Ministries in Euless, Texas.

Rejoice Ministries International was founded by Dick Dungan in 1995 as a ministry of encouragement to the Body of Christ. Dick carries an anointing to come along side of pastors, missionaries and ministry leaders to strengthen them in their personal walk with the Lord as well as assist them in training up the next generation of Kingdom leaders. Additionally, God has given Dick a mandate to “call men up” into biblical manhood impacting their lives as husbands, fathers and spiritual leaders in their families, the church and their communities.

Over the years God has given Dick a tremendous love for the beauty and diversity of the Body of Christ throughout the world resulting in a deep burden for unity, revival and empowerment to fulfill the Great Commission!

David and Jennifer Kruse

David and Jennifer Kruse

David and Jennifer Kruse are the “youngsters” on the RMI team and are our only foreign-based team members. David and Jennifer, with their six children, lived in SE Asia from July 2006 to March 2012, but in August 2012, they moved to Germany to work at Black Forest Academy as dorm parents. They originally served in Asia with an ESL organization from 2001-2003, but had to return to the USA in February of 2003 to provide medical treatment for their fourth son, Hudson, who had contracted leukemia. We praise God for Hudson’s healing and for the return of the Kruse family overseas.

It was during Hudson’s treatment and recovery while in the States that God brought clarity to their pastoral calling and leadership gifting and connected them “heart to heart” with Dick and Mary Dungan and Rejoice Ministries International.
Living and serving overseas has been in God’s plan for David and Jennifer since they met on the mission field in Peru, South America and married in 1991. Jennifer is the daughter of career missionaries and David received his call from the Lord shortly after coming to Christ during his university studies.

David and Jennifer’s gift of hospitality has been used to encourage, strengthen and equip missionaries so that they can continue in their call to reach and disciple the nations. In Asia, the Lord also opened doors for the equipping and training of national leaders through the unique network of relationships that David and Jennifer enjoyed. Now David and Jennifer are using their gifts to serve and care for the children of missionaries serving in Europe, Central Asia and Africa. Serving at Black Forest Academy also meets the schooling and social needs of their six children.

Their primary kingdom work and calling is evidenced by their ministry to foreign workers (expats) in the areas of pastoral care and discipleship and shepherding of youth.

Gregg and Beth Stone

Gregg and Beth Stone

Gregg and Beth Stone have been RMI associates since 2006. Originally from the East Coast, they met at a Vineyard Christian Fellowship in NJ and have been married for 26 years. Early in their marriage they lived in the Czech Republic as missionaries, working with a Baptist church and teaching English in the community. After returning to the US, they moved to Kansas City MO and were part of a small group of people that helped start The International House of Prayer. Gregg served on staff and as a worship leader at IHOP for 7 years. In 2006, they met Dick and Mary Dungan and immediately connected with RMI’s commitment to strengthen and encourage missionaries on the field.

Over the past 10 years, they have been blessed to walk out many seasons of life with the RMI team. Worship, women’s ministry and international missions trips have been a focus for them. When Beth was diagnosed with cancer in 2014, God shifted their focus to the importance of walking in health; body, soul and spirit, and also of keeping healthy priorities of God: first, family: second and ministry : third. Gregg and Beth are grateful for the journey that God has had them on. They welcome the opportunity to share what they have learned and love to testify of how God healed Beth from cancer. Excited for their future, they have a passion to see people living fully alive and are committed to helping them find the healing and restoration that God has promised. Gregg and Beth also enjoy using their giftings of creativity and hospitality to bless and encourage others.

Jim and Donna Macchi

Jim and Donna Macchi

In August 2009, shortly after the death of Jim’s first wife Pam, the Lord would give him a dream. In the dream the Lord would reveal the woman that would become his future bride. September 9, 2010, in the early morning hours, the Lord would give Donna a dream as well. Later that day they would be introduced by e-mail and would finally meet in Redding, CA on October 6, become engaged and be married at the Sundial Bridge in Redding May 7, 2011. Jim and Donna have written a very short story that is entitled “Dreams Fulfilled, A Love Story”, detailing their meeting and courtship.

Donna Marie was born and raised in Southern California. During the 80’s the Lord would lead her into worship ministry at the Anaheim Vineyard and other Vineyard fellowships around Southern California. She had a long career in the Electronic Aerospace industry and started a small business in Redding. As a single woman, she traveled both nationally and internationally teaching on worship and training small group worship leaders.

During Jim and Donna Marie’s first meeting they discovered that they share the same life verses of Isaiah 61: 1-3, which is a prophetic revelation of the Father’s heart. They have each personally experienced the many aspects of these verses and are convinced that this is part of His call on their lives. “Preach the good news, bind up the brokenhearted, set the captives free.”
The other verse that is paramount to their calling is Proverbs 13:12 which says “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when a desire comes it is a tree of life.” Donna was single for over 27 years, Jim on the other hand lost a wife of 40 years. Jim and Donna know that they are to bring hope to those who have a desire to be married and to those who have lost a mate and desire to remarry.

Marriage would be the divine revelation through which God would fulfill Genesis 1:28. “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, subdue it and have dominion.”

It is the heart of Jim and Donna Marie to bring the glory of our Father to the nations, to those who have lost hope, to declare the love of the Father and to mentor the next generation, both in ministry and the business market place.
